Warframe is a free space themed third person shooter with a lot of things to do and so much to explore. But you might get the questions: “Well from where to start?” or how to progress faster? Maybe you’re just thinking about downloading the game and want to see how the progress is, well you’re in the right place, we – here in gamespedition are going to give you a full in-depth tour and guide of Warframe.

The guide:

At first launch and upon starting, you’ll be prompted with a choice screen (That’s after you watch a cutscene). You need to choose your first Warframe – biologically enhanced armor that offers both protection and powers. The choice you make has pros and cons so weigh them out. It also impacts your first few missions. This decision isn’t for the whole entire game, just until you have enough resources to craft or buy another warframe. There’s three choices: Excalibur – most balanced powers, Volt – uses electricity to combat enemies, Mag – energy manipulation combined with magnets. They all have special attacks and will be your companions when you dive head on in to the gameplay.

The first operation or mission introduces you to the gameplay and allows you to choose the starting loadout. This can be changed after a while.

There are a few choices to make: a melee weapon, a secondary weapon and a primary weapon. We suggest that you choose whatever you think can be most useful. The fact is that these items can be changed and variability is an option so you can be daring and choose one weapon and know that if it doesn’t suit you or ‘I found fun playing the other way’ I, myself can always change the weapons.

Don’t forget to loot lockers and loot containers which appear throughout the game and offer in-game power-ups: energy for the Warframe, ammunition, health and etc..

There are a lot of maneuvers to perform, most of them are basic, but Warframe also has a wide variety of advanced movement and combat mechanics that the player can use to his/her advantage. For example, when an enemy is knocked to the ground you can perform a finishing move to deal extra damage, sliding in mid-air does a Bruce Lee type of kick in mid-air and so on. Experiment with movements and you’ll surely know more of them every day.

There is one minigame, hacking. When you need to hack doors or passages, initiate hacking and start rotating hexagons to line up a pattern. It’s easy!

Your ship is full of goodies and mysteries, all for your entertainment sake. This ship serves as a resting point a base for in between missions. There are sections of the ship that allow you to change and modify certain parts: Arsenal for weapons and Warframe appearances, The Navigation Console for missions and Mod Station allows transforming and selling mods. Your ship is really your home.

Don’t forget to explore and try out various possibilities, because that is key in progressing through Warframe. Hope you’ve enjoyed our short guide on starting the game and we hope to see you around in gamespedition. Stay sharp!
