People fell in love with Overwatch as soon as it became available for download. Lively environments, beautiful animations and other draws to the title has kept millions of fans interested and upbeat for a significant period of time. One of the most fantastic elements of Overwatch is its varied and fun characters/heroes that you can play with. There are a total of 24 different heroes, from 4 different roles and each with very unique and special skillsets. We’ll have a short look at them. Let’s begin.
Support
Anna: 200 health / 0 armor / 0 shield. Is a great support, yet quite hard to master. She has a nice set of arms: Biotic Rifle and Biotic grenades can heal friends, but also damages opponents which is a very vital asset of Anna – makes her unique and cool. Use Nano boost to power your friends. A great support with a skill level required to master.
Lúcio: 200 health / 0 armor/ 0 shield. Not as difficult to play as Anna, but not the easiest of the bunch. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, this Brasilian chap has seen it all. His sonic amplifier has buffs for enemies, Lucio’s singing adds to the movement speeds of the teammates and also heals them. As a true Brasilian – he uses rhythm and sounds to combat his enemies.
Mercy: 200 health / 0 armor / 0 shield. One of the easiest not only support, but all game heroes. Mercy has the suit to keep close and healing abilities make her a valuable asset to your squad. Guardian angel is a must-use skill and Resurrect, Mercy’s ultimate brings back dead allies to life with full health, meaning that this skill is one of a kind and very fun to use.
Symmetra: 100 health/ 0 armor/ 100 shield. Definitely not the easiest hero to play with, but Symmetra’s teleportation allows for pretty badass moves and sentry turrets let you control some crucial map areas for a while. Her ultimate adds a shield boost to the entire team ant lasts until destroyed, so use it when going in to combat.
Zenyatta: 50 Health, 0 Armor, 150 Shield. The crazy, wicked guru that has weird orbs floating around him. These orbs don’t seem so weird once you get in to combat – Zenyatta uses them to improve teammates’ condition or harm the opponents. This hero requires skill and precision to play, so don’t go berserk with Zenyatta.
Tanks
D.Va – 400 Health, 200 Armor, 0 Shield. D.Va. is a former gamer in the Overwatch world. This robo-girl combo started as a professional gamer. This baby has two cannons that are crazy strong at short range and can deflect short range dangers with Defense Matrix. We recommend D.Va if you’re looking for a decent challenge.
Orisa – 200 health and 200 armor with 0 shield. She can be the epicenter of any action as her damage absorption is ridiculous. A protective barrier can take in long range or shorter attacks, strengthening the defenses is also an option with Orisa. She is quite hard to pick up, but pretty easy to master, that makes Orisa’s fanbase a big one.
Reinhardt: 300 Health, 200 Armor, 0 Shield. This powerful knight is almost 7 and a half feet tall and uses his ginormous hammer to cause havoc. Reinhardt is a tank, so his abilities are far wider than just swinging the hammer, he uses an energy barrier to defend allies and a rocket charge to attack all nemesis.
Roadhog: 600 health, 0 armor, 0 shield. This big thing is easy to play with and a former criminal that utilizes his experience to make your enemies’ lives harder. Roadhog, besides his tank abilities, can jump, crouch and reload fast enough to be effective in intense combat. Roadhog has this chain that he pulls enemies with. A hardcore dude.
Winston: 400 Health, 100 Armor, 0 Shield. One of the most Iconic Overwatch heroes – Winston is seen both by the players and by the people who haven’t played the game at all. This simian wields a jump pack, a cannon, barrier creator and super monkey strength that help Winston remain one of the top heroes of the whole Overwatch universe.
Zarya: 200 Health , 0 armor, 200 Shield. While not the strongest at the start, Zarya can deploy her barriers to deflect incoming damage and make in to energy to feed the cannon and can be a key part of your attack/defense and control. Choose Zarya if you know what you’re doing, because she’s hard to play as.
Defense
Bastion: 200 Health, 100 Armor, 0 Shield. Arguably the easiest defense champion/hero to play with. This robot explores the world and is fascinated by the living nature. Bastion uses repair protocols, to transform and become utilized and useful to the team. From a tank to a static sentry- this hero is great for any team.
Hanzo: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. Hanzo is sort of the samurai/archer type of fighter. He fights for honor and just like a true samurai, holds it the key to redemption. His arrows have special abilities and Hanzo can scale walls and summon spirit dragons. The dragon travels in a line and can pass through walls to damage enemies. One hell of an attack. Hanzo is hard to play, so choose carefully.
Junkrat: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. This tall freak is an explosives artist and a criminal, hunted worldwide. His abilities include bouncing grenades, stun mines and traps that stop your enemies and make the open for damage. Junkrat’s ultimate is RIP-Tire, the skill that sends a bomb (in tire form) that climbs over obstacles and damages enemies if detonated remotely or after colliding.
Mei: 250 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. Mei looks very sweet, but as you know – looks can be deceiving. She is as tough as they come and Mei’s abilities include casting an Ice Wall and ice related havoc that disrupt your enemies from attacking your team effectively. This hero is an extremely tough one to master so decide for yourself, whether you want to play defensive and have the guts for it – choose Mei.
Torbjörn: 200 health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. He is an angry dwarf looking fellow that shoots his guns and like a true dwarf, swings his hammer around to damage enemies. Also possible are upgradeable turrets and armor packs. His ultimate allows for mistake fixing since Torbjorn gets armor and attack speed. He becomes a barrier and a wall for your teammates.
Widowmaker: 200 health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. As the name suggests, this baby makes women widows… Dangerous sniper rifle to take out far away targets, gas to kill enemies and a lot more to damage your rivals. Her ultimate is the, well… Ultimate recon skill as it displays all enemies (for Widowmaker and her squad) + objects straight through the walls for a short amount of time.
Offense
Doomfist: 250 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. Very hard to play as – Doomfist requires a combination of skills to be effective. He is a highly mobile and strong hero that can be utilized to deal tremendous damage to the opposition. Rocket Punch is a player pleaser and the ultimate attack “Meteor Strike” causes havoc all around the map.
Genji: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. A true space-age ninja, Genji shoots shuriken and uses state of the art technology with his superb skills to eliminate enemies or deflect incoming bullets. He is an augmented person – a cyborg that has once been a human. Genji is also difficult to master so don’t pick him up and expect great results instantly – it takes time.
McRee: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. A badass cowboy every since launch, McRee is literally one of the easiest hero’s to play as. Revolver bullets combined with his eagle sharp vision make battlegrounds a practice range. His ultimate is a finisher unlike any other, every enemy in sight is shot up. So pick McRee if you’re ready for some fun and action.
Pharah: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. A human with little augmentations or modifications, Pharah is a security officer that protects the world. She is imposing when in the suit, but after taking off the mask she looks very cute. Use those looks to get your enemies relaxed and the instantly hit them with your rockets. Kaboom!
Reaper: Health 250, Armor 0, Shield 0. Just like the Grim Reaper – this mate is one scary hero. His Hellfire guns are the organs of death and his ability to become not vulnerable to damage just makes Reaper that much scarier. Easy to play, because well… He’s the closest thing to death that you’ll probably ever encounter.
Soldier: 76 – Health 200, Armor 0, Shield 0. A true Overwatch hero, in both style, stats and abilities. Soldier is quite easy to play as, his rifles do nice damage – shoots rockets. He is a known vigilante and is hunted by a lot of bounty hunters. Soldier: 76’s ultimate ability is a target lock towards an enemy, so it’s a perfect finishing touch.
Sombra: 200 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. She is a stealthy hero that uses manipulation, sneaky attacks and recon to her advantages. EMP is her primary weapon and with camouflage Sombra becomes almost impossible to track down. Send invisible Sombra to disrupt enemy shields with her ultimate abilities and have a clear path to damage those suckers. Have fun!
Tracer: 150 Health, 0 Armor, 0 Shield. Tracer is a squishy and vulnerable hero from the beginning. He uses twin weapons to shoot pulses, drops time bombs, travels through time and space with ease and later in the game can cause serious damage for the enemy. So keep him safe and use his abilities wisely.
