Hunting is essential to do in FC4 because doing it is the only way to progress and gain better items, a larger weapon holster, deeper wallet or craft a syringe bag that is capable of holding enough syringes. To begin hunting simply find out what animal hide/skin do you need, locate their icons on the map and head there. The animal in question should be nearby. As a true hunter, predator you have to be careful to not frighten your prey, be silent and reserved, locate your victim with a camera or a scope. Move slowly and don’t get too close, make a clear way towards the animal and take the shot. After taking down the animal, quickly take care of its surrounding friends if they’re carnivorous, they might go after you so it is essential to clean the rest out. After you’ve made sure that nothing surprising might happen – head straight to the animal body. Skin it and voila! You have your necessary ingredients to craft upgrades for Ajay. There are different types of animals that you can separate by common sense. Pigs, monkeys, sambars won’t attack you and will just run away, but are quite hard to kill so consider making a hunting syringe to increase your chances. There are the aggressive ones, separated by only size. Wolfs, Leopards some fish are quite dangerous, but very rarely fatal. You have to be really sloppy to get killed by them although receiving some damage is not very unlikely. So be careful and stock up on ammunition when going Wolf hunting. And then there’s the fatally dangerous animals that you’re going to need some heavy artillery to deal with. Elephants, rhinos, bears and Yeti’s… Yup, the snowmen themselves are one of the most dangerous animals around. Don’t deny the possibility of going full force and using MMG or RPG…
A fun way to hunt is also by tracking your prey and waiting until it gets in to a more vulnerable position. For example near a water body or loses awareness. To increase difficulty, switch to a bow which is going to increase the difficulty and the fun also. In order to achieve the highest level of your items, you’re going to have to participate in “Kyrat Fashion Week” and obtain extremely rare animal furs and skins.
