Open world RPG

Open-world role-playing video games are games which heavily feature player exploration and freedom in both choice and linearity of quests. Open-world RPGs usually contain a large and constructed world for player to explore and experience, little to no restriction in terms of following a “correct” path and sometimes different choices of freedom. Open-world role-playing video games originate from the west, and often are interchangeable in terms when speaking about WRPGS (Western Role-Playing Video Games). Bethesda Softworks is the leading developer when it comes to Open-World Role-Playing games, with games from Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series being the most popular amongst the Open-World RPG fans.
