Mini Motor Racing EVO (0)
Gameplay
With up to six cars in a race, the goal is simple, cross the finish line first. At your disposal is a variable number of nitro speed boosts to help you along the way. The game's arcade physics mean you'll be smashing into the cars just as much as the walls.
Controls.
The game can be played either by left, right directional pad / keyboard controls or an analog "directional" steering (meaning the direction you push the joystick is the direction your car will "try" to go, similar to Renegade Ops and other dual-joystick shooters).
Upgrades / Career
Each race in the career mode is presented through a specific championship's cup series. Starting off with the beginner championship unlocked, the intermediate expert championships each become available as you progress through the game. After the game's credits roll, you'll gain access to an additional Master championship. You'll gain access to an additional car upon getting all bronze trophies (3rd place) for each championship.
Each championship contains multiple cup series, with four races in each cup. In addition, each championship also has a bonus cup related to another intellectual property. Valve's own Portal 2 and Team Fortress 2 have their own themed level, as does Fruit Ninja. Completing each of these cups gives access to themed car relative to the franchise.
Winning races in career mode (and only career mode) nets you cash to use on upgrades, which include top speed, number of boosts, acceleration, and handling.
Tracks
The game consists of an advertised 40 tracks, however, these are based on a repetition of the same core tracks multiplied by day/night and forward/backward races. Each level has a theme, ranging from urban cityscape with paved roads and sharp inclines to steam uphill/downhill dirt tracks. The angle of the game changes with each version of the track despite the actual track layout being the same.
Multiplayer
Online play of up to four players is allowed. All tracks and cars can be used, but no money may be earned.
Track editor
The game has a fully featured track editor directly integrated with Steamworks. Users can publish a level and by subscribing to the mod via the steam page, players will then see it show up available for play.
