There are a lot of weapons in Warframe. Today we talk about primary or your main weapons that you find in the first slot. Primaries are your main attack tools as they usually do more damage, hit hard and have cool looks. But a lot of players get the question: which one is the best? Well, it’s hard to tell because everyone has a different playstyle and where one might needs to do burst damage, others might look for a larger magazine and shorter reload times. We’ll look over a few of the primaries that can bust up enemies in a jiffy, let’s begin, shall we?
Soma
This rifle shoots 15 rounds a second - fantastic, has a reload time of 3 seconds, which isn’t all that bad nor is it all that good. But one of its biggest pluses – 30% critical damage chance. If you take the prime variant it has the highest critical multiplier bonus in the game. But since we’re talking about the base variant – high accuracy and a 100 round magazine are all great features that make Nova a good, almost OP weapon. Beware of the high recoil and low base damage, you need to be accurate with this baby.
Boltor
A Tenno assault rifles that shoots fire bolts. Projectiles travel longer and tend to drift so you have to be very precise with your aim. It’s effective in close ranges, does 25 base damage, puncture is 20.0 so you shouldn’t be afraid of armored enemies. A low recoil also adds up to form a nice package. A low critical damage, long reloads are the only noticeable cons of the Boltor, so choose wisely and carefully.
Hek
Hek – a shotgun with crazy high damage - 525. Short and average distances, Hek is a killing machine that deals 341.25 puncture meaning that armor has nothing against it. As a shotgun it deals a lot of damage in long ranges (long ranges for a shotgun), has a decent reload time for its class. To highlight the negatives: a small magazine and tight pellet spread are worth noting, but Hek still is monster of a shotgun.
Tigris
A strange yet fun shooting mechanism is used in the Tigris. With two shells releasing one after another Tigris is able to fight various enemies. Although the magazine is only 2 rounds and constant reloading is a pain in the… But high damage (the highest behind Tigris Prime and Sancti Tigris) make this bad boy an enemy’s nightmare.
Tonkor
The last, but definitely not the least effective of the list is Tonkor – a grenade launcher. Shoots explosives that deal blast damage, which can be increased by mods. Hold down the fire button will show the grenade’s trajectory so you have the advantage over your enemies. Grenades travel slowly so plan ahead.
