Overview
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is a isometric action-adventure game developed by for the , and . It is the sequel to the critically acclaimed . It features cooperative multiplayer for up to 4 players.
Story
Lara Croft and her rival treasure hunter, Carter Bell, are tomb raiding in Egypt when they come across a tomb containing Osiris's staff. In an effort to best Lara, Carter quickly touches the staff before Lara can stop him and the two become cursed. Touching the staff also releases Isis and Horus from their imprisonment. The two gods inform Lara and Carter that the curse is Set's doing and that they wont be safe until they break the curse and restore Osiris's rule over Egypt. The gods go onto explain that after Set betrayed Osiris he cut Osiris's body into pieces and scattered them throughout the tombs located in this area. In order to break the curse the two archaeologists must locate all of the pieces of Osiris and restore him so that he can deal with Set and restore balance to Egypt.
Development
Crystal Dynamics began work on the game in 2013 following the release of the franchises gritty reboot, . helped in the development of the game, and had previously helped out Crystal Dynamics on other Tomb Raider titles. The studios concluded work on the project in November of 2014 and released the following month on December 9, 2014.
