Durgesh prison is a harsh penitentiary jail that is commonly known as “The Sky Prison”. Built and carved in to the side of a mountain and run by Pagan’s friend Yuma Lau this place strikes fear and terror in to the hearts of many Kyrati’s. Just like a real life concentration camp, Durgesh holds many prisoners against their wills. It can be found in North East Kyrat, but is only accessible in the mission Don’t Look Down or in the “Escape from Durgesh Prison” DLC.
In the campaign mission, make your way in to the prison, craft a grappling hook to get down. After escaping you get the first and the only story related encounter with a Yeti – a snowman. Then things change and you move to Ghale Homestead with Sabal or Amita.
In the Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC action starts after Ajay escapes from Durgesh prison and passes out. Ajay is welcomed by Pagan Min and he introduces the player to the situation – he has 30 minutes to get to the extraction point from which either Amita or Sabal are going to provide a helicopter for him to escape. The problem is that the Northern part of Kyrat is quite dangerous and Yuma’s soldiers are all over the place of the helicopter. You have to do tasks for Pagan to improve your defenses and eventually get the ability to get back. The fun part is that the player only gets once life to complete the DLC. The time you have – 30 minutes.
