A Way Out is an upcoming game from developer Hazelight, whose team is partly composed by developers of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and its creator, Josef Fares. It was unveiled at EA's E3 2017 press conference, being highly promoted as a game "designed to be played with a friend on a couch". Gameplay is strictly split-screen co-op, either online or offline.

Players will play as Vincent and Leo, two inmates who are planning a prison break. The game will feature various elements, including driving, shooting, exploration and more. Fares has stated that the game will push boundaries on story-telling, allowing one of the players to engage on normal gameplay while the other is taking part of a cutscene.

A Way Out is scheduled to release in early 2018.
